An exhibition by Steve McCurry, 2004 Lucie Awards Honoree, exploring life across islands around the world. Through intimate and powerful imagery, the collection portrays the people, traditions, landscapes, and cultures of island communities — capturing both their uniqueness and their shared human spirit.

Originally curated for House of Lucie Koh Samui, the exhibition is now presented for the first time in Italy as part of the festival’s program.

The photographs invite viewers into remote and vibrant island worlds, documenting daily life, cultural identity, and the deep connection between people and the sea. From quiet moments of tradition to dynamic portraits of contemporary island life, Island reflects the diversity and resilience of communities shaped by isolation, nature, and history.
