PALAZZO TANZARELLA

Palazzo Tanzarella, located on Via Cattedrale, is a building dating back to the second half of the 16th century, purchased by the Tanzarella family in 1816. The palace is known for its Pompeian red façade and for having been the residence of Don Paolo Tanzarella, the first mayor of Ostuni and a member of the Giovine Italia. During the Italian Risorgimento, the palace served as a center for patriotic activities and conspiracies aimed at the unification of Italy. Today, Palazzo Tanzarella hosts cultural events and exhibitions, preserving its historical and cultural significance for the city.
